Here are the other side of photographs that tie in with my previous journal entry. There was a little experimentation in regards to presentation with this set. I wanted to see how I can possibly work with black and white and color images together having one accenting the other. (All black and white images were photographed with Ilford FP4 and the color photographs with Fuji Pro 400H). This project is far from complete and I am still in debate on […]
On my second visit to Stanstead, Quebec, I directed my focus mainly on the interiors of the barns and it was quite exciting because I was at a different farm than the first one. As an accent to the day I also photographed general outdoor scenery and had even gone back to the first barn from my first visit to re-photograph some areas. (All black and white images were photographed with Ilford FP4 and the color photographs with Fuji Pro […]
I wanted to share my experience differently this time with short video clips that I had taken throughout the day. I was not very successful at it, but will be for the next round. As promised, here are some results from Stanstead, Quebec with Kodak Ektachrome. I am still very new to working with this film and it is the first time that I noticed the negatives to have a strong blue cast. I am not sure why that is as I have not had this happen before. For this set I just wanted to focus on the finer details. It is a real shame that you can no longer hand process prints from […]
The first rolls of film that I shot with in Stanstead, Quebec were 35mm. This is not the actual format that I will be using for this project but I thought it would be best to start off with as I explored the space for the first time. As I ventured about I comfortably fell into a zone which helped me to see and develop a sense of direction and at the same time discover interesting spaces that later on […]
Today I processed the last roll from my Stanstead, Quebec road trip. I am really feeling this project and at the same time a little overwhelmed. I have not scanned any of the negatives yet but I did get a chance to view them closely on a light table and I am feeling good about what I have photographed so far. I am hoping to share some results within the next few days.
On Saturday I headed out on the road and this time in new territory, Stanstead, Quebec. As some of you may have noticed, I have been quite obsessive about going on road trips. The great thing about this obsession is that I have begun to see a project within it. It is still forming in my mind but I know that my objective will be to document the farm lands within Quebec. I was very lucky to have gotten the […]
