The idea of building a darkroom has been dancing my mind for the last two years and lately I have been seriously thinking of just going for it. The space I have now does work but overall it is not optimal nor is it very safe. The way that things are now has me quite limited to how far I can actually go into the world of darkroom printing and it really has me bugged out. Wanting to take […]

Walking through the pathways at Parc des Rapides, I came across a species of bird, that was swooping and diving about and looking real pretty, (the Common tern). They were fast…and I was fast enough to catch ’em! ___________________________________ (again, sorry for the bad quality) I was lucky to have been in the right place at the right time to have witnessed these speedsters in the sky and to have also witnessed a Great Blue Heron. ____________________
This weekend was amazing and with the perfect weather to boot. Saturday was the most exciting because of my revisit to Stanstead, Quebec and on Sunday my friend and I decided to trek out to a place we had briefly visited before, Parc des Rapides. I think this is one of the most beautiful Parcs I have been to so far, beauty is everywhere. It is known to be an ideal spot to see the Lachine rapids up close […]
It has been a while since I have been thinking of getting a medium format camera that is not a twin reflex. Originally I thought of the Pentax 6×7, but as I researched I grew towards either the Pentax 645N or the Mamiya 645. Can you guys help me out? Which would you go for and why? Please share your thoughts down below. Thank you.

I finally was able to scan and review all the images I have taken so far for my new found project. The first group of images prepared me visually and it definately paid off and to my surprise, I came through with 30 strong images. I know I will go through another breakdown from the first set and as I continue, I am sure things will change even more on how I am seeing this project right now. This project […]
I love animals and yet I have never saw them as a subject to photograph, (and with great excitement), until now. There was a time where I had only one thing in mind to photograph and that was portraits of people. This has now changed as my mind has expanded into more and different things, things I never thought I would ever see as important to me or inspiring to want to photograph. There are many photographs that I have […]
This was the first time that I have used Kodak’s Portra 400 that was not an expired roll of film. The packaging is much different now, I found it to be kind of plastic-like and strange from what I have been used to. As I have mentioned several times, I have been in debate about which color film I would want to use as a main film. I have not used Portra 400 as much as Fujifilm’s Pro 400H, but […]
Last Saturday was a planned road trip to Refuge faunique Marguerite-D’Youville, QC which is about a 40 minute drive out from Montreal. It was the first time I had ever been and I was disappointed to discover once I got there that most of the trails were closed due to the flooding that occurred last year. I did not have any back-up plans so I decided to hit the trails, that were open, anyway. The only area that was interesting […]
As promised, here are some results from Stanstead, Quebec with Kodak Ektachrome. I am still very new to working with this film and it is the first time that I noticed the negatives to have a strong blue cast. I am not sure why that is as I have not had this happen before. For this set I just wanted to focus on the finer details. It is a real shame that you can no longer hand process prints from […]
