In August of this year I had announced that one of my camera builds had been selected and published on Homemadecamera.com‘s first Homemade Camera Podcast Zine. The Zine is now available in print and I cannot wait to get it in the mail.
Yes, I took a Yashica D camera apart! Not to worry though because it is not any of the ones that I presently use, it is one that was bought off of Ebay and had arrived broken. I had replaced this broken one with a Yashica D Grey, so all is good. The issue with this broken Yashica D was the shutter release button, it just didn’t work other than jiggle around in it’s place. At first I was going […]

I had not yet begun exploring the world of analog photography at the time Ilfochrome/ Cibachrome, was still in production but once I did get hooked I researched a lot on the different papers and films that are available today as well as the ones that have been discontinued. When I started to think of processing color films, it lead me to the a color spectrum that I wish was still available today. According to what I have read online, […]
I had made a promise to myself that I would eventually start to document my artistic and photographic experiences and today I can finally check it off my to do list. I have been really enjoying it so far and I wanted to get some feedback from you all. Please feel free to add any additional comments below. ____________________________________________________________________
Here are the other side of photographs that tie in with my previous journal entry. There was a little experimentation in regards to presentation with this set. I wanted to see how I can possibly work with black and white and color images together having one accenting the other. (All black and white images were photographed with Ilford FP4 and the color photographs with Fuji Pro 400H). This project is far from complete and I am still in debate on […]
On my second visit to Stanstead, Quebec, I directed my focus mainly on the interiors of the barns and it was quite exciting because I was at a different farm than the first one. As an accent to the day I also photographed general outdoor scenery and had even gone back to the first barn from my first visit to re-photograph some areas. (All black and white images were photographed with Ilford FP4 and the color photographs with Fuji Pro […]
This is creative Assignment number four, “The Neglected Camera”, and in case you might be wondering about the first three assignments, visit here to find out. This assignment is about re-introducing yourself to a camera that you have had sitting in your closet. Trust me it is fun to do and if you are currently hitting that creative block, this just might help you out. No pressure. No timeline. Just creative fun.
It has been a long time since I have produced any kind of video. I have been wanting to re-shape my presence over at YouTube but it has been difficult since I cannot possibly film everything that I would like to on my own. My first initial dive into video was very experimental and my concern was never how professional it looked but that the story I was telling was clear in itself. I am hoping that with my self-teaching […]
The idea of building a darkroom has been dancing my mind for the last two years and lately I have been seriously thinking of just going for it. The space I have now does work but overall it is not optimal nor is it very safe. The way that things are now has me quite limited to how far I can actually go into the world of darkroom printing and it really has me bugged out. Wanting to take […]
