The first rolls of film that I shot with in Stanstead, Quebec were 35mm. This is not the actual format that I will be using for this project but I thought it would be best to start off with as I explored the space for the first time. As I ventured about I comfortably fell into a zone which helped me to see and develop a sense of direction and at the same time discover interesting spaces that later on […]

Angrignon Park is a place that I like to visit quite often, it’s close to home, peaceful and free to enjoy. When I planned this walk-about one week ago I did not have any specific focus in mind, the day was just so beautiful and I had to get out to enjoy it. Once I arrived back home, I processed the films right away. Here are some of those results:
This was the first time that I have gone to the Pow Wow in Kahnawake and it happened by accident! My friend and I originally had planned to go out with our large format cameras to Refuge faunique Marguerite-D’Youville which is a nature preserve in Châteauguay, Quebec but we got side tracked from signs that had the words “Pow Wow” written on them as we were heading to our destination. We have always wanted to go but never remembered and […]
Today I processed the last roll from my Stanstead, Quebec road trip. I am really feeling this project and at the same time a little overwhelmed. I have not scanned any of the negatives yet but I did get a chance to view them closely on a light table and I am feeling good about what I have photographed so far. I am hoping to share some results within the next few days.
Stanstead was not the only place I visited over the weekend, I also went to Rawdon. Rawdon is a place that I visited once before and have been meaning to go back to. I remember that I had shot a few rolls of expired color film which I processed in black and white chemistry. I never scanned them and for obvious reasons as I had sat there looking at the negatives with pure discontent. Rawdon is known for it’s beautiful […]
On Saturday I headed out on the road and this time in new territory, Stanstead, Quebec. As some of you may have noticed, I have been quite obsessive about going on road trips. The great thing about this obsession is that I have begun to see a project within it. It is still forming in my mind but I know that my objective will be to document the farm lands within Quebec. I was very lucky to have gotten the […]
The Lachine Canal is a place I have not visited in a while. My friend and I decided to drive out there with our cameras hoping to find interesting things to photograph. I brought the Yashica Mat 124G with a roll of Ilford Delta 400 Pro. The place has changed since the last time I visited which was about 3 years ago, yet, it still has its charm and is a perfect place if you enjoy peaceful walks, biking or […]

This is creative assignment that I have shared once before in March of 2015 and I thought it would be interesting to bring it back once again but with a few differences. Lacking Creative Inspiration? The idea is to stimulate your mind for seven days with that special tool in visible sight that enables you to be creative. Maybe it might spark a new idea? Maybe it might lead you to a place to photograph something […]
I know this is not new news, but it is good to hear about this comeback. Acros was a film that I enjoyed using specially since I am one who loves working outdoors in the middle of the day in harsh sunlight. This is the best film that I have ever used working in that type of lighting condition, so it is very good news for me. The first time I used this film was in 2012. I was not […]
