Refuge faunique Marguerite-D’Youville, QC – Part 2

This was the first time that I have used Kodak’s Portra 400 that was not an expired roll of film. The packaging is much different now, I found it to be kind of plastic-like and strange from what I have been used to.

As I have mentioned several times, I have been in debate about which color film I would want to use as a main film. I have not used Portra 400 as much as Fujifilm’s Pro 400H, but I think I have come closer to a final decision.

In general, I have always preferred cooler color palettes over the warmer ones which is why my first serious trials with color film were with Fujifilm’s Pro 400H.

I do not have much comparisons to present here but here is one for starters.

A Personal Comparison:

Now let’s move on to the photographs below that were also taken at the Refuge faunique Marguerite-D’Youville, QC.

Even though my mind is settling towards Fuji Pro 400H this still can change. Most of my recent work has not been of any portraits but of general outdoor scenes so the possibility of my present choice changing for portraiture work,(once it returns), is viable. Open mind, always.
