On Saturday I headed out on the road and this time in new territory, Stanstead, Quebec.
As some of you may have noticed, I have been quite obsessive about going on road trips. The great thing about this obsession is that I have begun to see a project within it. It is still forming in my mind but I know that my objective will be to document the farm lands within Quebec.
I was very lucky to have gotten the opportunity to spend one full day at a farm, (10am-6pm!), in Stanstead, Quebec. It was one of the most amazing experiences that I have had in a very long time and I have to thank my friend Tom big time for arranging the connection and for the owners, Rene and her husband for giving complete trust and allowing me to photograph freely on their property.
This first visit was about exploring the environment and feeling the environment and trying to place my ideas into one cohesive thought process. I did go a little crazy having shot eight rolls of film in varying stock and formats, but I wanted to try as many variables as possible so that when I return I will have no questions about the final decisions I will have to make for this new and exciting project.
This was one of the first images that I photographed which was on a roll that had 3 frames left on it. I am not sure if I will share many of the photographs from this first visit as it will depend on how close they fit to my vision and structuring of this new and exciting project.
